The Tintinabulation of Bells

Cliche as it may sound, girls have this horrendously detailed idea of what they wish (need) their future wedding to look like by around the age of 18 or so. Well, I, being the above average girl, already have that zany cloud of thoughts at 16 years old and 4 months. Yup. Ask my friends, my seatmates, I'd tell anyone who'd listen about my obsession about my to-be wedding in the future.

I completely agree if you think it's insane for me to already have ideas but yes, insane is a lifestyle I shall continue to live by. Okay, to cut this post intro short, I shall proceed to a Pinterest-worthy montage that shall stand witness to my obsession.

(Btw, tintinabulation is an actual word that Edgar Allan Poe coined to capture the sound of bells in a single word. It literally just means the sound of bells)

Okay, so, let's start off with the basics. It'll be an orchard wedding.

With a swing because swings make everything so romantic. (although they are pedophilic and seek children's butts)

(See how romantic a swing is?! asdfghjkl)

Oh, and a horse. Because I love horses.

(Majestic as shizz)

Adorable save-the-dates! :D

And these little quirky idiosyncracies

(Mason jars, mason jars everywhere)

Of course, the perfect dress

(Although I'd need the perfect body first because...)

Oh, but cake.
(I crie)

And of course, a cutesy entourage

Oh, and you guys, meet my maid-of-honor to be. She's like my best friend ever, the sweetest, craziest girl who can dole out the best advice and is killer on the soccer field (ish): Bea Nicole Leguro Leal

Isn't she gorgeous? >:) (Sorry, Bei. I know you'd still be my maid of honor despite this.)

Speaking of gorgeous things, one last thing to top the list off.

Just um, uh, er... a Harry Winston (?)

I know, I'm cruel. Huhuhuhu. :'( But look at how awesome an HW box iiiis. D: (It opens sideways!)

So, I'm a romantic--a hopeless one at that but at least I come prepared if the fates are good.

All I need now is a future groom...

And a 7-foot tall pile of money.

Shoo. Be Happy. Bah.

Happier by A Fine Frenzy

Okay, before I start this post off officially, let me just say that this will be a sort of rant post. It's not a full-fledged rant because I've put it under the cotton-candy colored light of a weird sort of perspective that takes the shape of those lamps with spinning horses that project carousels on your walls. (Never had one of those? Well, damn, I lived with one of those until a light bulb exploded when I was 7. It was uh, fish, though, not horses... Damn)

NOW! To actually start the post. I hope you're actually listening to the song I gave you just now. It's a nice song. And if you're not, I'd assume you know that song by heart like a proud weird person with unknown music tastes *hides in the corner and cowers with Allison Sudol* or you'd be completely lost in this rainbow colored rant of mine.

There's always that one person you'd love to sing this song with. A crappy old Tumblr post which I once saw and deemed to cheesy for me read, "Falling in love is like handing someone a loaded, working, badass, real-life, cold metal gun, letting them point it at your chest and trusting them idiotically that they wouldn't shoot." (I may have tweaked that to make it sound less cheesy.) Well, to the angsty teenage girl who came up with that, I say, genius.

It's been a helluva ride. Really, since my last few rant posts and gah, sometimes, after one rant post and the other, you seem to see that there's finally a light at the end of this stinky old rabbit hole. You run for it, faster and faster thinking it'd be the end of all your misery and once you get to it, poof! You realize it was just light from the Upper World that is the to laugh at your misery the way that bully kid in the Simpsons would go Ha-Ha.

Damn.

Well, fear no more. This song tells you that you can actually climb the walls to that little prick of a needle-point hole that lets the light in and smash it to bits so you can finally escape the smelly little rabbit hole.

You go on and I'll be happier.

Oh, yes. Hell, yes. That right there, is your way out, my friend.

Let go, YOLO, and let the good times roll. (That was supposed to be clever because it rhymed)

But honestly, when holding on seems more like strangling someone to death rather than trying to grab someone's hand to save them from a deathly ravine of rogue direwolves, let go.

Have them kill you instead of you killing them. (Again, if you don't get this, you obviously didn't listen to the song close enough/at all.)

They've got rubber bullets so run, duck and cover! But they're finger's on the trigger so, damn, just pull it already. Both of us want this suffering to end. Let them go, shoot you with the rubber bullet, let the bullet bounce off your belly and walk the other way.

That way, agony's over, everyone's happy.

(not sure if this post is to be read with a heavy, heavy, heavy tone of sarcasm)

The Breakables

It's been a while since I've last blogged and it sucks to say that I should've been a lot more consistent. Ah, but I have to say that senior year is just about equal to kneeling silently at the guillotine during the French Rev, just waiting for them the drop the blade. In the mean time, they let it cutely suspend 1 1/2 inches awake from your neck. Yay! But enough rant about school, it's a new year. A new beginning a new... blech okay,

2014!

It's time to make 'em resolutions then because I'm a cheesy sucker who doesn't know how to do out of the box posts.

The Breakables
(Dani's resolutions and must-do's for 2014)
  1. Lose weight. (This has topped my list and has never been accomplished for years now)
  2. Write a lot more. (This includes blogging at least once a week. Huhuhu, muse, please don't slash your wrists on me again)
  3. Dress prettier.
  4. Save more money (Another constant on the list.)
  5. Convince my parents to let me go to a Manila school for college *fingers crossed*
  6. Study a lot better.
  7. Start practicing the piano again.
  8. Inflate my ego (Just as necessity calls for)
  9. Learn how to talk. (To people. Like a normal being)
  10. Watch more movies and TV series.
  11. Read and read and read and read (and get money for books)
  12. Delve more into poetry (neh, geeky, I know.)
  13. Start, use and maintain a planner well.
  14. Manage time better.
  15. Friends. (I don't know what this means)
  16. Spend more time with family.
  17. Learn how to prioritize myself every now and then.
So, that's it for 2014. 17 promises to make, break and turn into mistakes. *knock on wood*

Life is Gouda (Hah. Pun)

The cheesiness doesn't end in the title. This is a really lame-o cheesy poem I wrote when I was bored out of my wits while taking a mock exam for a major university. (Yes, you can see how determined I was then)

You used to fight off all of my dragons--
A prince on a mighty steed.
You'd chase away all those shadows
And be there for all my needs.

You scaled the walls of my tower
When I was a damsel in distress
In the dark, behind you I'd cower
While you'd shield me from my weakness

A jolt struck my hand from yours
As you hoisted me from my captor's domain.
We ran past traps and gates and enchanted doors
And laughed as we finally escaped my world's bane.

The tower no longer held me
Though my dreams it tortured now.
Of man and walls and law I was free
But to you my heart would still bow

This poem is obviously unfinished. And I'm not too sure if I'd have a gouda moment soon enough to reach this piece of poetry's conclusion but yeah! This is sorta kinda what I'm feeling right now. Partially since the poems unfinished and all... um, yeah. Okay.
