Carpe Diem

It's summer! The time to chill, procrastinate and make an unattainable bucket list! So, just to cut the story short, here's mine!

1. Write a lot.

2. Keep a journal.
3. Make French macaroons.
4. Earn money!
5. Travel alone. (I really don't know why but it sounds like so much fun!)
6. Sleepovers!
7. Reconnect with the piano.
8. Meet new people and make friends. (God, this one's impossible)
9. Sleep on a beach with stars, shooting stars, evening breeze and all.
10. Summer love and beyond! (Yes? ....no.)
11. New hair.
12. Books, books, and more books!
13. Finally finish writing Curtain Call.
14. Watch a horror movie alone. (Not at night, of course. Not that macho yet.)
15. Work out. (Seriously. I have changed. *insert sarcastic laughter here)
16. Do something for the better good of humanity.
17. Bike to nowhere.
18. Look for seashells at the beach. (Concepcion, pleeeease?)
19. Relearn how to swim
20. Go to a party. Like, a real one.
21. Roadtrip to nowhere!
22. Find inspiration in the weirdest places.
23. Zipline!
24. Shop.
25. Experience getting drunk (I really dunno where this one came from.)
26. Make a summer playlist.
27. Finish making a playlist for Arielle and Xander! (They're characters from my story, Curtain Call but I love them THAT much.)
28. Prank calls! (Even if they went HORRIDLY wrong last time)
29. Watch a movie ALONE WITH HIM. (Well, there are three HIM's now... But... yeah.)
30. Make this summer worthy of being a memoir. :)

Summer's the one time for me to begin again, to pretend that the past never happened and to just live in the moment.

So, here's to sun and sand, reading and writing, movies and moving, laughter and love.

Carpe diem. <3

Oh, Mr. Sun!

Aaaaaaand it's been ages since I've last blogged.

Oh, you can imagine how lost I was without my go-to rant place. ^_-

But how can you spell goodbye, Chem, goodbye, trig, goodbye geom and goodbye other less hellish subjects in one word?

S-U-M-M-E-R!

[Heck, Yeah! Technicolor!]

Mere words cannot express how happy I am for (barely) surviving Junior year.

It has been one hell of a roller coaster ride from start til finish. And I must agree, I learned a whole lot of things this school year.

  1. Never, ever, ever judge a book by its cover.
  2. Falling in love isn't the end of the world.
  3. No, getting your heart broken isn't the end of the world either.
  4. Some friends come and go while the others are for keeps.
  5. It's never a sin to dream big.
  6. Though it is a sin to remain silent. [Gee, thanks, CLE.]
  7. Forgive and forget.
  8. No overthinking ever again. Like, ever.
  9. Fate works in silly ways.
  10. Be brave.
  11. Stoichiometry, proving identities, triangle inequality thingies, Noli Me Tangere and To Kill a Mockingbird do not make a good tasting cocktail.
  12. Take chances.
  13. YOLO! [That was hard to admit]
  14. The boys in our class are really, really, really good singers.
  15. Prom isn't as bad as its all thought to be.
  16. There's a time and place for everything.
  17. Be true to yourself.
  18. Understand to be understood.
  19. The truth sets you free. [Again, CLE. But sooo true]
  20. AND! It's best to end the schoolyear with nice hugs from the right people. ^_-
So, I'm starting summer on a really high, only-dogs-can-hear-sounds-in-this-frequency positive note. Bye bye, rainy days. Hello, Mr. Sun.
